  • 100 Horses Alumni Band Scholarship Fund - $500
    • The award is open to undergraduate students of any major who are incoming or current members of the Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band.
    • The Student has been admitted to or currently enrolled full-time at Grambling State University
    • The student is a legacy ie., daughter or son, of a former member of the Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band
    • The living parent of the student is an active member of the 100 Horses Alumni Band
    • The deceased parent of the student was an active member of the 100 Horses Alumni Band
    • The incoming student possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or the current Grambling State University student possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5
    • The student must be enrolled at Grambling State University and in good academic and personal standing with the University.
  • The Abdulalim A. Shabazz Non-Endowed Scholarship Fund - $1000
    • Recipients must be a first semester freshman
    • Recipients must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale
    • Must maintain a cumulative 3.0 during the semester
    • Must be Enrolled full-time at Grambling State University and in good standing
    • Award is open only to students matriculating in Mathematical Sciences at Grambling State University
    • Membership in at least one organization in which leadership skills were used and/or voluntary services were provided in college
    • Upperclassmen will be considered for the award, only if for some reason there are no first semester freshman recipients.

  • Aubrey Todd Non-Endowed Memorial Scholarship - $500
    • Enrolled full-time at GSU and in good standing
    • Must be a student matriculating at GSU with a major in Education, Kinesiology, Sports or Administration and Leisure Studies
    • Must be a TX resident
    • Must have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale
    • Must demonstrate financial need (cannot have a credit balance that results in a refund)
  • Charlotte & Harold Mouton Non-Endowed Scholarship - $2500
    • First priority will be given to residents of St. Landry Parish
    • Second priority will be given to residents of Evangeline Parish
    • Incoming Freshman
    • Cumulative high school GPA of 2.7 or higher
    • Must be PELL Grant eligible
    • Qualified recipients who will be first-generation college students within their immediate family shall be given priority

  • Clifton E. Lewis Non-Endowed Memorial Scholarship - $1000
    • Must be a graduating high school senior with an achievement of at least a 3.0 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale
    • Will be enrolled full-time at Grambling State University
    • Must be a resident of Claiborne, Jackson, Lincoln or Union parishes
    • Must submit a recommendation letter from a pastor or church showing their involvement in the church.
    • In 500 words or less, explain the role Grambling State University, a historically black college and university (HBCU), has in creating tomorrow’s leaders and how you will use your degree from GSU to impact the world
  • Delta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Non-Endowed Scholarship - $500
    • Enrolled full-time at GSU and in good standing

    • The chosen recipient must submit a photo in business attire.
    • The chosen recipient must submit a brief 1-2-minute video about how these funds have assisted you with your goals.
  • GUNAA Non-Endowed Scholarship - $1,000
    • Must be enrolled full time at Grambling State University and in good standing
    • Grade point average of 2.8 or higher on 4.0 grading scale
    • Financial Need (must have a remaining balance-cannot exceed $1,000
    • Essay stating why you deserve the scholarship and future aspirations upon graduating from GSU
    • Must have pursued all federal funding options
    • Upon confirmation of receiving the award, the scholar must submit a professional photo headshot
  • The Hopewell School Foundation, Inc. "Giving Back To The Future" Honoring Louis E. Flournoy, Naomi D. Ross, C. H. Shyne, Rufus Washington, Oscar Williams, Hopwell Faculty, and Staff Non-Endowed Scholarship - $500
    • Candidate must have a relative (mother, father, grandparents) who graduated from either Dubach High School or Hopewell High School
    • Must be a freshman
    • If candidate is a first semester freshman, must have a high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale

    • Each recipient will be required to attend the Hopewell School Reunion Gala following the initial award.

  • James Jackson Delta Sigma Chapter/Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Non-Endowed Scholarship - $500
    • Must be enrolled at Grambling State University and in good standing
    • Recipients must be an incoming freshman
    • Recipients must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale
    • Recipients must be a male undergraduate
    • Write a short essay (Minimum of 100 words) on why you deserve this award from the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha
  • Dr. Juliet Lynne Johnson Non-Endowed Memorial Scholarship-$1,200
    • Recipient must be enrolled full-time at Grambling State University and in good standing.
    • Recipient must major in Political Science.
    • Recipient must be a sophomore, junior or senior
    • Recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale
  • Jesse Lee Massey Non-Endowed Memorial Scholarship - $1325
    • Award open to undergraduate students from either the state of Arkansas or the state of Texas.
    • Recipient must haave at least a 3.0 high school GPA on a 4.0 grading scale.
    • Recipient must be enrolled at Grambling State University and in good standing.
    • Recipient should have been involved in high school extra-curricular activities and/or performed community service.
    • Recipient socio-economic status must be evidenced, with a low to middle income statue having priority.
    • Recipient should evidence other activities wherein leadership skills were used and/or voluntary services were performed.
  • Dr. Jimmy McJamerson Non-Endowed History Scholarship - $500
    • Enrolled full-time at Grambling State University and in good standing
    • First or second semester junior
    • 2.7 or higher GPA on a 4.0 grading scale
    • History Major
    • Member of the History Club
  • John & Evelyn Ford Crayton Non-Endowed Student Scholarship - $2000
    • Achievement of at least 2.3 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
    • Recipient must be a first semester freshmen.
    • Recipient must be enrolled full time and in good standing.
    • Recipient must be a resident of Morehouse or Natchitoches Parish.
    • Recipient can be from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Gatesville, TX or from Pomona, CA or surrounding areas.
    • Recipient resided in a single parent household
    • Recipient maybe an ex-offender/drug addict.
    • Recipient must have a desire to have a better. quality of life as demonstrated through an essay.
    • These monies are intended for students who meet at least three of the criteria.
  • Laura B. Spencer GAP Scholarship - $1100
    • Recipient must be a resident of Ouachita, Franklin, Richland, Caldwell or Morehouse Parishes.
    • Recipient must be an Education Major.
    • Open to all classifications.
    • Recipient must have a cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale.
    • Recipient must demonstrate a financial need.
  • The Luther and Mary Ida Vandross Scholarship - $1,000
    • Attending a 4-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
    • Be in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study leading to an undergraduate degree
    • Demonstrate financial need (as determined by the University)
    • Be holding a 2.5 GPA or better
  • McCray-Dennis-Muse-Dangerfield-Sanders Non-Endowed Memorial Scholarship - $1000
    • Award open to undergraduate students
    • Priority will be given to residents of Tangipahoa, St. Helena, Livingston, St. Tammany, and Washington parishes
    • Enrolled full-time at Grambling State University and in good standing
    • All academic area with priority to education majors
    • Freshman or beyond
    • GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale in their high school or major
    • Priority given to recipients with low to middle income status
    • Recipients must provide evidence of leadership skill, and/or community service experience
    • Awards will be given to one or more student(s) in any given year, based on level of donations.

  • Modestine Gill Knighton and Beaver Bishop Knighton Fund - $1000
    • Must be enrolled full-time at Grambling State University
    • Eligible candidate must be U.S. citizen
    • GPA of 2.75 or better on 4.0 grading scale
    • Candidate must be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of study.
    • Candidates from single-parent families will receive special consideration for scholarships, but this is not a pre-condition for selection.
    • Candidates will be required to complete the Free Application for Student Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which will be used to determine financial need.

    • Two letters of recommendation required- one from faculty member the College of Business and another from a civic or community leader
    • 250 maximum essay describing your personal statement of future goals as it relates to Accounting. Also include what led to your interest in accounting and what it means to winning such opportunity and how you may use the funds.

  • The Ward Robinson C'72 Finish Line Scholarship - $5000
    • Must be enrolled full-time at Grambling State University
    • Eligible candidate must be U.S. citizens in their senior year
    • One (1) female student in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
    • One (1) student that is a member of the band (male or female)
    • GPA of 2.5 and who is making satisfactory progress toward graduation
    • Must have a financial need as determined by the program administrator
    • Must be students, without financial intervention, would be unable to graduate from Grambling State University
    • First preference will be given to seniors who have met all criteria for graduation and who are in their final semester of matriculation, followed by first semester seniors.
